SCHOOLSThe Children's Underground has many opportunites for constructive play. Climb in a late 1800's pony cart. Try on reproduction clothing and climb on a train. Explore new child-size recreation of historic Yakima City. As a tour component the Underground allows the museum to docent-led instruction with experiential learning.

he Children's Underground provides hands-on activities that complement the core museum exhibitions. This interactive center features child-sized replicas of period costumes and buildings, which allow children to experience history through constructive play. Children can also explore the natural history of the Yakima Valley through live animal displays and educational exhibits on the areas environment.
