Tales of the Rails
Yakima Valley Museum, May 21-23, 2008
Nancy Stewart and MaryLee Sunseri will bring the magic of the Old West to life as performers in the Tales of the Rails program at the Yakima Valley Museum.
Nancy Stewart and MaryLee Sunseri have made three albums together; Singin' Sidesaddle, Good Night, Sleep Tight, and Rhythm of the Rocks which won the American Library Association Notable Children's Recording & Parents' Choice Honors.
MaryLee, who lives in Pacific Grove, California, and Nancy, who lives on Mercer Island, Washington, have developed and performed the Tales of the Trails program at the Yakima Valley Museum for four years and Tales of the Rails for two years. Tales of the Rails is a storytelling and song program about railroading.
Tales of the Rails is an annual storytelling and music program for students which supports the educational mission of the Yakima Valley Museum. Thanks to the sponsorship of the Yakima Sunrise Rotary Club, the event is free. Seating, however, is limited. Please contact the Yakima Valley Museum Education Department at (509)248-0747 to reserve your time.
Children and their families are invited to a special public performance on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. Reservations are not needed for the Friday evening performance.
