A Victorian Christmas

Step into the cozy atmosphere of the H.M. Gilbert Homeplace and celebrate a Victorian Christmas.

On December 2, 2007, from 1:00-5:00 P.M., the Gilbert House will welcome visitors for a special Christmas Open House. Guests entering the home will be transported back in time, through the sights, sounds, and smells of a Victorian era home as the family celebrates the Christmas season. As you enjoy the beautiful Christmas tree and decorations throughout the home, you may hear children caroling outside in the cold, crisp air. Docents dressed in period costume will be available to answer questions about the house.

This special Victorian Christmas is open to all. There will be no admission charge; however, donations will be accepted. Many visitors return at this time each year to surround themselves with the spirit of Christmas past. New guests will enjoy an atmosphere designed to fill them with a special Christmas spirit that will last them through the holiday season.
